Usually the background is left out completely since it's so boring. But remember it also adds to the whole depth thing. I decided to also smudge the background.
Funny thing is, once I smudged the background, I saw the face differently. I adjusted the nose, mouth, eyes, and the leaf all because of the background. So try not to forget it's there.
